The farm

Pian delle Querci, the heart and tradition of Montalcino

Pian delle Querci is a family-run farm located in the hills of Montalcino, in the heart of Tuscany. For four generations, the Pinti family has been passionately dedicated to agriculture, cultivating vineyards in a unique area rich in history and renowned for the production of great wines.

The farm covers 50 hectares, 8.5 of which are devoted to vineyards: 6 hectares for Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G., 2 for Rosso di Montalcino D.O.C., and 0.5 for Sant'Antimo. The vines are cultivated using the low spurred cordon system and short pruning to ensure a limited yield and excellent grape quality.

In the cellar, under the expert guidance of Pinti Vittorio, the winemaking process respects the rhythms of nature: slow fermentation in steel vats, without added yeasts, and aging in large Slavonian oak barrels. The result is wines that encapsulate the essence of Montalcino, an authentic expression of a generous and precious land.

Tradition in every drop

Pian delle Querci: more than just wine

In addition to its many hectares of vineyards, Pian delle Querci also cultivates olive groves that stretch across the same generous hills. From these trees—tended with the same care devoted to the vines—comes an authentic, fragrant extra virgin olive oil produced in limited batches, a true expression of the Tuscan territory.

Alongside the olive oil, we complete the cycle of our winemaking by distilling grappa and grappa riserva from the pomace of our own wines: exclusive products, crafted in small quantities, that embody the very soul of our land.
